Christopher McMillan is a seasoned construction attorney with more than a decade of experience managing construction projects, drafting and negotiating complex construction contracts for a variety of project delivery methods, developing creative risk mitigation strategies, and litigating design- and construction-related claims.
Prior to earning his J.D., Christopher earned a degree in Construction Science and spent several years as a construction project manager on both horizontal and vertical construction projects. That experience lends nuance to his perspective every day and, combined with his specific body of legal expertise, is a unique skillset that makes him a valued advocate for clients.
Christopher’s successful track record as lead counsel on multi- party pre-claim, litigation, and arbitration matters, in addition to a unique knack for developing narrowly-tailored strategies and analyses on a host of project-specific processes and issues, serves clients in a variety of capacities—from developing pragmatic policies, procedures, agreements, proposals, and utilitarian legal evaluations, to identifying claim opportunities and delivering strategic recommendations in layman’s terms.
