Dave Dicker supports clients’ growth and profit margins in the responsible generation, retention and enhancement of customer relationships, brand development and reputation management, strategic alliances, sponsorships, and digital, social and experiential engagement. He counsels advertisers and agencies, drafts and negotiates contracts for a variety of advertising and marketing arrangements, including brand integrations, event sponsorships, sweepstakes and contests, agreements with celebrity talent, influencers and vendors. His primary areas of practice include advertising, marketing, campaign planning and execution, trademark, and copyright law.
He is experienced in licensing with a variety of rights-holders, clearance issues, content distribution and integration, publicity, advertising review and claim substantiation, and promotional activations and compliance for a range of clients from regulated consumer-focused companies’ goods and services to creative entrepreneurial business environments.
Mr. Dicker started his legal career as associate at McDermott, Will & Emery after working directly in creative and media environments. He serves clients’ intellectual property and marketing campaign execution needs in a variety of settings. He continually adapts his approach as his clients’ needs and the advertising and marketing landscape has evolved. His experiences range from Am Law 100-guided compliance solutions to active involvement in risk mitigation efforts and in-house legal counsel for global marketing initiatives and loyalty programs as well as regionally, locally, and niche audience targeted activations.
