Business owners and management work closely with Mr. Lang as a trusted advisor on labor and employment matters. Mr. Lang routinely provides his corporate clients with proactive counseling and advice on how to navigate the day-to-day employment and labor issues in an effort to avoid litigation.
Mr. Lang regularly advises his corporate clients on how to navigate wage and hour, non-compete, non-solicitation, disability, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, mergers and acquisitions, whistleblower, FMLA, unions, Title III of the ADA, ERISA, and executive employment agreement matters. On any given day, he may be asked to do an independent contractor/employee analysis, navigate employee discipline and discharge decisions, analyze workplace policies, work with clients on leave and accommodation issues, interpret restrictive covenants (of both applicants and employees), assess wheelchair/website accessibility issues, or walk clients through reductions in force.
Mr. Lang drafts and revises a myriad of employment-related and other business-related documents for clients, such as executive employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, consulting agreements, offer letters, service agreements, commission plans, and employee handbooks, to comply with Florida and many other states’ and cities’ laws, rules, and regulations. He also has extensive experience conducting internal investigations.
Mr. Lang’s active employment and labor litigation practice finds him in administrative proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commissions (and the state and local versions of same), the Department of Labor, and the National Labor Relations Board. He also represents corporate clients in arbitrations and court litigation in both state and federal courts.
In arbitrations and in court, Mr. Lang represents individuals and companies in commercial and business litigation matters, such as unfair and deceptive trade practices, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, trade secrets, cyber harassment, invasion of privacy, negligent hiring/retention/supervision, tortious interference, unjust enrichment and quantum meruit.

- Obtained summary judgment for national retailer in race and national origin discrimination case which was upheld at the federal appellate level

Interesting Facts
By the time Chad was 10 years old, he’d lived in 3 states and 9 cities. He has two younger siblings, both of whom were adopted at birth. He is an avid traveler (a passion shared with his wife who is a travel agent), fan of the arts (music, movie, and theater), sports fan and amateur foodie.
